As many of you may be aware, I originally planned to start the 2015 Original Character Open on December 21st, 2014 to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of the death of my father; however, I have decided against that and am moving the start date to January 1st, 2015. This means that if you have decided to start your original character's origin mini-comic, then continue to work on it on your own time. However, I must point out a couple of extra rules.

1) When the contest officially begins on January 1st, create a folder in your gallery that contains your original character's reference sheet and subsequent mini-comic.
2) After you have done so, be sure to comment on either P4perCake's profile or my profile with a link to the folder.

It's just that simple. And remember, IF you choose to enter the contest and would like to start working on your original character's reference sheet and mini-comic, then feel free to do so on your own time. (In fact, I strongly encourage it.) In the meantime, the deadline to enter this contest has been moved to December 21st, 2014 at 7:59 P.M.; however, the deadline to finish your mini-comic and reference sheet for your original character is March 31st, 2015 at 7:59 P.M.

And in other news, I got a strange comment on my favorites comments section. For some reason I have been blocked by a deviant and accused of being a "front-page group faver"; however, there is a reason why I have favorited so many deviations. You see, folks, I put deviations in my collections at random every single day because I want to reach out to those artists that try desperately to get noticed. Please remember that I don't deliberately fave deviations because I want to.

Each and every day I comment on a few deviations that I feel are good enough to be considered classics years or even decades down the line. Sure, I do this, but when I do I often try to give my honest opinion on the pictures I comment on, as well as a rating between one and five, one meaning that it needs improvement and five meaning that it needs no improvement at all. On occasion you will find me critiquing a deviation that needs to be critiqued, and that's where I truly am honest about what I really think.

In placing deviations in collections that I deem worthy of the public's attention I feel as though I am doing something great for the deviantART community by getting other people's hard work noticed.

That is all for now. Next journal entry will come in a couple of weeks.

I have a question! Can you do more than ten pages for the mini comic?
