The War Inside Me Rages On...

There can only be so many questions that one asks himself as each moment passes by. It's questions like "When is this ever going to end?" or "What am I going to do now that I have to make the most of a situation that worsens all the time?" that really makes a man wonder if anything is worth living for. For instance, yesterday a note in the mail said that my disability benefits had been denied a second time on account of I'm 'too smart'-- and to make matters worse, a day program called Life-Quest wouldn't let me in because I, quote unquote, 'didn't have any funding.' And to top it all off, my doctor's appointment is tomorrow, so it'll be up to me to remind myself to show my true colors because that's the only possible way anyone's going to believe me. As for what I think about the social security system, mental disability cases are always the hardest to distinguish because of the fact that a man like me isn't, well, up there. So, just in case-- and without a moment to spare-- I felt it best to write down some numbers for lawyers that live around where I reside that can actually DEFEND ME and help me in my fight for disability benefits that I believe I'm entitled to. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the irrefutable evidence that the whole world has officially started to fall apart like the implosion of a skyscraper.
