Literature Text

I was put on this planet to serve out a purpose that God so happened to give me,
But many days I've spent trying to find that purpose, and it kills me not to find out or see
And I see a bunch of the deformed and impaired staring at me like honey on a bee,
Asking me crazy questions that make no sense, but they ask out of pure randomness and curiosity.
The people that monitor us each day and each night know exactly what are weaknesses and strengths are ever so daintily,
And if we ever need to talk to them we can always ask them for a conversation, and they can shut the door and listen at the ready.
We have many thoughts running through our damaged minds day in and out. only to fall for our own tricks mindlessly,
And as the sun rises the following day we find that there are things out there that are too dark and too morbid and full of devilry.
We are the lost, the damned, the somewhat hopeless, the scared, the weak, the sleepless, the groaning, the unknown, the many,
And as far as one can see, there is no end to this little illusion that everyone is forever trapped in daily.
Every last word of every line rhymes. See if you can guess the moral to this poem.

Well now. Hmmm. Yes, you were put on this earth to serve out a very specific purpose. That's a fact Jack!

God did give you a specific role to play here. And as with most prophets, apostles, what have you; as I said with MOST, they didn't come into their own until much later in life.

The struggle that is discussed here, is a soul who looks out and sees other humans wandering around lost and confused. The author points out that the mind is damaged. I would have to disagree to a point with that. Those chosen by God have no damaged minds. You won't find them in psych wards babbling incoherently. You can very well find them in prisons though.

Are there things out there that are too dark and too morbid? Not really. Not honestly. Things are things. Stuff is stuff. It's how we CHOOSE to look at it that determines whether or not it is morbid or not.

The author seems to be speaking collectively when they announce that WE are the lost, damned, hopeless, weak, scared, sleepless, etc. Not God's people. They can never be put realistically into that category. That is home to the unsaved ALONE.

So, I would say that there is a certain amount of correction here that needs to take place.

It's simple. Let me clarify. The UNSAVED are what is being described here. The SAVED don't fall into this category, they can't. If they could, they wouldn't be saved now would they? God picked His people before the beginning of time, they are His from eternity. The UNSAVED are unsaved from eternity.

The author is struggling here. On one hand he believes he's saved on the other hand he is describing himself as unsaved. He needs to make up his mind and be confident about that.

I can't say it's a great piece because it is very confused.
